Made with Focal’s brilliant engineering and extraordinary attention to detail, the Elex headphones take a fundamentally different approach to dynamic drivers—and deliver a better measured performance across the board than headphones several times their price. Can someone from Drop disclose how many of the 3,500 hps sold have been returned defective? Drop is getting a bad rep on various sites, especially ASR due to reported driver failures. A percentage of the total # returned/reported defective would squash some of the innuendo and perhaps restore faith in Drop's QC.
Any idea how well the Elex performs with the Rebel amp? Elex is somewhat thin sounding with the thx 789.
Focals seem to sound best with good class A amps. The Rebel amp is class A and very highly regarded.
I like the sound, but it’s too heavy for me.
I am thinking about replacing the headband to make Elex lighter.
Does anybody know where I can get such replacement headband?
Just ordered one (Elex) for my girlfriends birthday. Even after all the QC and driver issues. 2 reasons why I ordered. Drops willingness and efficiency in refunding or replacing the defective unit and that >95% are not defective. I own the Stellia myself and love them with no issues. They do benefit from higher QC standards than Elex though. Keeping finger crossed.
Yes. Got them last week. They sound great and no issues at all. It heavier on Bass than my Stellia but I like its look better . Elex is certainly a top notch headphone.
