Hey everyone! Today,  we’re kicking off a new shipping method test in European Union countries, so we can better evaluate how we can improve this experience for members located in these markets. Select audio products will be available to ship from a warehouse in Europe with delivery expected within 5 business days. Most will arrive at your door with no post-office pickup, though some exclusions apply. All prices are inclusive of VAT. Which products are included? This is a test, so we’ve set this up to include a select handful of products with limited quantities. Here’s what we’ll have in store:
For more information, and to answer some questions you might have, see the full talk post.
We appreciate your support and welcome your feedback with this experience. Good or bad, we want to hear it all so let us know what you think. Thank you all for being a part of the Massdrop Community. Thanks,
The Massdrop Team

DuncanI love that Massdrop is doing EU Exclusives! I would purchase a product for sure, if there was something i needed. Like the TR-X00 Purplehearts or the THX 789 AAA, or the Little Dot MKIII

Duncanthis is interesting, but I would still have to pay import tax if I live in Norway? if that applies its still cheaper for me to purchase the non-eu ones. and if you say that I will not, and then it turns out that I have to, will you re-reimburse the import tax?

maartinIf you are in Norway, you dont pay import tax, because of free exchange of goods within the EU, since it ships from inside the EU.

maartinafaik, even though Norway is not nominally part of the EU, they have MANY agreements with the EU and it's within EU's "trading zone" or whatever it's called, so items shipped from the EU to Norway are not subject to any additional taxation

raestI need someone from massdrop to come with an official answer here and how the will handle it if i have to pay additional vat in top of the already paid vat. the information I am able to find online does not support your claim, and I have previously bought items that were sent from within the eu that i had to pay additonal vat to the norwegian government for. we have a 350NOK limit, anything under 350NOK including shipping is "free".

raestYou pay for VAT when importing goods to Norway, even if it is from other RU countries.

maartinMassdrop are quite clear on that this is for the European Union, since Norway isn't part of EU the country does not benefit from this import tax benefit. Norwegians will have to pay for VAT for these items.
