Welcome to the future, 2077.
It's been three months since the start of Massdrop Community Keycap Set Design Contest, what an incredible journey. Once again, thanks to everyone in the community who voted for me. And to all the contestants who participated as well, you guys all made some amazing designs!
As some of you might already know, I initially created 2077 as a theme in a third-party iOS keyboard call Themeboard.

Quick sketches before drawn digitally.
The entire idea of the keyboard was inspired by science fiction-themed user interfaces from films like Iron Man, Prometheus, and Guardians of the Galaxy. As a user interface designer, I challenged myself in creating the icons that are abstract but yet still being able to relate. While some I felt it is better to remain as text, giving it a balance to the entire keyboard.
The reason behind the changes from GMK to DSA was due to higher production cost. To bring the cost down to a more affordable price for everyone, we went ahead with DSA. Partially we heard that there were a few of you requested for DSA!
Lastly, big thanks to the Massdrop team who helped me out every step of the way in developing this Keycap set.
Do feel free to ask me any question, I will be sure to answer any of them with the knowledge I have so far.
I hope you enjoy this set as much as I do. :)
GlimyYou pretty much just need the following:
2u spacebar or two 1u blank keys for the spacebar,
1u enter, tab, shift, backspace, GUI, alt, control, and 1u raise and lower keys.
The pageup and pagedown keys will actually work perfectly for raise and lower, so they're already covered. Oh, and it would also be nice if the "\|" 1u key would available without a lot of the other keys of the "extras" set, but this is not really necessary.
With those keys you'll be able to perfectly cover a Planck or Preonic keyboard from OLKB.com

PadnaIf you wanted to, since all the mods are glyphs, you can cover a Planck/preonic with tkl+extras. You'd have to do grid layout, or use backspace as 2u space, but there's enough 1u's for everything.
GlimyIt works just fine! Although it removed the voice dictation from the keyboard, but I think that has to do with the themeboard app itself and not your keyboard. Solid work though!
GlimySince this group buy has started, MD probably will not add more kits. But between 2% and 4% of keyset buyers - me included - would want a Homing kit if this is anything like other group buys.
Here is an example of 40's kit (from XDA Godspeed):
dvorcolA homing kit for this would probably be pretty pricey since it's double shot with a new font. XDA Godspeed only sold 45 total homing kits, and it looks like 50 would be moq for these. As far as ortho support goes, I could still rock this on a planck or preonic using tkl+extras. Honestly, I think they've put out a solid offering for a first time keycap designer, and they had to omit a lot of keyboard styles. But there's WAY too many styles of keebs out there with unique layouts, so even on the big drops someone is always going to be left out.
zzzaacchhAs a Dvorak user all I need to make this work is non-homing F and J keys and (preferably) homing U and H keys. I would be fine without the latter, but it doesn't look like they are offering either.

ahndrewYeah, it's a bit odd they didn't at least include non-homing F & J. I still agree with how they set this up though, there's a lot of TKL and full boards out there, and if this does well they could bring it back with more support for other set ups.
pglodYeah, I don't use alternate layouts but know that DSA is the easiest/cheapest way to use dvorak/colmak and not putting in 6 keys kinda sucks for you.
dvorcolWow guys, thanks for pointing the way...
I initially created the design just based on the contest, I am so unprepared for all sorts of layout. Let me see if I could put together something quickly.
Now that you mentioned, I went to see it on iOS Gboard. You are only able to import a background, can't change the bkspace icon etc. Are there more options on Android?
