Another highly questionable DAC. At this price point, it's almost certainly based on some Chinese DIY board. I'm sure Grace did some code optimization and/or other tweeks.
Not a real DAC. Better than a cheap motherboard's built in DAC/amp circuit, but that's pretty much it.
GUTBWhat do you mean, "Not a real DAC"? This is as much of a DAC as any other DAC of this price, Modi 2, ODAC, OL DAC, Sanskrit, they are all very similar. Not everyone here is buying a Yggdrasil.

GUTBGutb, I don't know why you are whining around this Massdrop site, since everything that has ever been on sale on this site since Massdrop's first offering 5 years ago is garbage according to you. Go play somewhere else please.
CokemanIgnore him, the same username has been booted off numerous other sites for trolling on subjects that he only has a shallow pretense of knowledge in.
CokemanAs a matter of fact, none of those are real DACs.
A "real DAC" features a high quality power supply, balanced topology with top-shelf DS chips at the very least. The closest "budget" product I've heard to a real DAC is the surprising DragonFly Red which almost reaches real DAC status in such an inexpensive and small form factor.
GUTBBwahahaha.
You can't even define Digital Analog Converter without going all pedantically wrong?

GUTBWow! I own something that Gutb doesn't qualify as garbage (Dragonfly Red). I guess you feel that it is a below mid-fi Quality Dac that may drive my semi-garbage headphones (HD6xx)... Gutb, please take a walk...
