My first pure standalone SDAC and I am impressed. Makes my laptop sound much better, cleaner, more open, etc. and even seems crisper when going A/B with my iPhone XS, which is pretty rare in my experience. Have used with Sennheiser HD598 and Beyerdynamic T5p plugged directly in.
I tried this with the O2 amp, but I really don't like the sound profile of the O2 (with or without this SDAC). With a different amp, I'm sure it would be great. Would recommend this SDAC.

phoenixsongI do, they sounded great. But the headphones are both pretty low impedence - 598's are 50 Ohm and T5p's are 32.

JoeW901Cool, I didn't know we could drive headphones directly from dacs. How do you adjust the output level though?

phoenixsongYou can just adjust the volume on your source - laptop or whatever. It's not going to be as loud as with a dedicated amplifier, obviously, but plenty of volume for me with the low impedance headphones.
