Massdrop x Hasbro XDA Scrabble Custom Keycap Set

Put on your thinking cap and grab some tiles (no peeking!): Massdrop x Hasbro XDA Scrabble is ready to play—and it’s as remarkable as that time you played a Q and a Z on a triple-word score. Officially licensed by Hasbro, this keycap set is themed just like a Scrabble board, from the colors of the double-letter scores to the values associated with each letter—and everything in between. Created by new designer and lifelong board-game fan Cassidy Williams, it features wooden-colored alphas with a small number in the bottom-right corner like real Scrabble letter tiles. The modifiers, styled in dark blue, light blue, red, and pink, are representative of all the bonus points you can rack up on the board. Sculpted in XDA profile, the set is compatible with Cherry MX switches and clones.

Designed for maximum compatibility, XDA profile has recently gained popularity in the mech keys community. Because the profile is flat, it’s super easy to mix and match XDA keycap sets. And it’s compatible with countless keyboards including the Planck, WhiteFox, ErgoDox, and many others. Made from durable PBT, these caps feature dye-sublimated legends that won’t rub off or fade over time.  

Alphas are keys that print symbols—letters and numbers, basically. You’ll almost certainly want to start with this kit. The extra F and J keys are deep dish homing keys to help you center your fingers.

The base modifiers kit will cover a standard tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard. Knowing what size caps your bottom row are will be key to knowing if this kit will perfectly cover your keyboard. A few extra keys are included to accommodate the most common alternate programmed layouts.

The title says it all here. This kit includes keys for number pads with split number pad keys as well. If you have a full size keyboard, you will need this kit.

This kit covers the most common non-standard physical layouts, including HHKB, Winkeyless, and a plethora of 65% and 75% board.

These are fun keycaps, but not necessary for most keyboards. If you have a keyboard with four additional keys above the numpad, this would be a perfect to make sure you have full coverage.

Compact keyboards in the 40% form factor (like the MiniVan) will require this kit.

This kit is specifically designed for the OLKB Planck keyboard. If you have the Preonic, the kit will also cover it completely when paired with just the alphas.

These specialty kits are designed specifically for the ErgoDox (all variants). The text version caters to a standard layout, but if you have a highly customized layout, you may want to go with the blanks.
