For ~$10 or $12 I have no problem with these at all. I have read the other reviews, some good, some bad. I'm not sure why there are such differing views. These are not my daily drivers, but I was curious what $10 would get me from Hifiman. For reference, I don't consider myself an audiophile... my daily drivers at work are Sony EX650 which I like very much. I also have 1More Triples, Klipsch X6i and a handful of cheaper in-ears, plus over ear phones at home.
For these, I am driving them with a Dragonfly streaming Spotify 320kbps from my laptop. For EDM they do go low into the sub bass but I don't feel it is exaggerated. I've also played some Sinatra and related material and these are very polite. Again, for ~$10, I am quite happy. I will add that they are brighter than my others, but I don't mind it and I actually don't notice until I do a side-by-side comparison.

JohnnyWorthI agree. Not sure what some people were expecting for $10.I have drawer full of $10-$20 IEMs. These are as good or better than 90% of those.Honestly that's not saying much. But for $10 it's good to have a back up pair of IEMs to jog or work out with that I don't care if I lose or break. These have good bass which I find fun and motivational for jogging and working out.
