The sound quality was amazing, no complaints at all strictly in terms of their sound quality (although it is worth noting I am a beginner audiophile, and this is the first 'audiophile' level pair of headphones I've ever used). I used them with my FiiO e10k DAC-amp. It felt like I was in the room with the band playing.
I have 2 issues with these headphones that have warranted my 1 star review:
A) They really, REALLY hurt to wear. Get a headphone stand to stretch them out for a few days before regular use. I'm sure with enough time they would have loosened up a bit, but that never happened because;
B) The left earcup broke off from the headband after less than a week of regular use (3-6 hours a day on weekdays, 7-10 hours on weekends).
For these reasons (mainly the second one, as I mentioned before that the discomfort was most likely temporary) I have to give a one star review.
I have contacted support and will be sending my broken pair back to get a full refund. I've since bought the Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee, and they work great so far.
FrenchFryApocalypseYes, these headphones need a new set of ear pads to really relieve a lot of the pressure these headphones give. I got myself some leather pads and they really helped with the head stress.
I'm wondering what your definition of regular use is because you're the only review I've seen so far where the set was physically broken.
