Like everyone else, I am rolling the dice with these and the RE-00; however, I am hopeful that the HE-350 do end up being 'flat', responsive to EQ, with the same comfort as the other HE headphones.
PS I have tried out the HE-400s a few times with the Asgard 2 and Element... I found it sounded 'artificial'. During the same test I was unimpressed with the NAD HP20, ATH50x, and Audioquest Nighthawk.
PPS My current collection is Shure SRH440 (okay), Sony MDR6v (like), Sennheiser HD598 (Good, but something is missing, not as good as HD600), V-Moda M100 - (good for gaming, rockin' out), Grado SR60 (fun, good with amp, but not very comfy), AKG 240K (great with schiit vali, meh otherwise), Sony Electrostats circa 1975 (classical, no bass, need speaker amp) and finally Sennheiser RS180 for TV/Movies (these I love)
Earphones: Sennheiser Momentum Galaxy, Shure 215, Atomic Floyd HiFi Jax, MEE 151
My electronics include: Hand built Dynaco Tube Preamp, Schiit Modi 2 uber, Schiit Magni 2, Schiit Vali, CMOY tin, and a bunch of speakers and amps (30 years in electronics).
