Probably been asked, but any point in getting these if I am all ready using Massdrop x AKG K7XX ?
Nope, your AKGs are better, save the money, unless you wanna give he-350 away or resell them after for more money, since they will be worth a bit more than 115* bucks
Do you know how these HiFi Man compare to the Audio Technica ATH M50x?
Ok, thanks for the reply! Where should i go from here? I have been eyeballing those Fostex TH-h00, But some are saying its not worth it with out having a removable cord?
first of all, hifiman's are open backs with much wider sound stage, m50 or m50x are very narrow sounding cans, meant for monitoring, but they even fail at that, look at some of the Z reviews, he nailed it, I also think they are way overhyped for their performance if we just look at the buck/per bang their little brother m40 does the better job in that section and cost way less, so please don't waste money on m50x nor m50, you can get much better monitoring cans if you want something for mixing. If I had to chose between hifimans and m50 i would go with hifimans, for day to day use, you cant really go wrong with them, unless u want close back ''overhyped monitors'', that's my opinion of course.
I never heard fostex th-h00, perhaps look at some youtube reviews, I can recommend Z reviews, he usually nails it, since hes not sponsored by no1, there for isn't obligated to give good reviews like other jackasses do (randomfrankp for example...), but if u'r worried about the cable, you can always mod or pay some1 to mod them for you, if you want a detachable cable, which is a pretty good concern actually, I myself don't understand how can canns who cost 20+bucks can have a simple detachable connections for day to day convenience, and 500+ canns doesn't, I my self prefer only canns with detachable cables to prevent any future problems with connections.
thank you for thoughts, I already bought my m50x for 99 dollars, I was just looking for better sounding headphones then my current ATH-M50X
