Highs a little sharp yeah V shaped(sometimes these are awesome, clear, lower mids and midbass shining through these man if only the entire spectrum was like those sections) low impedance so limited amping(nevermind improves flac or better amping goes way higher now but overall limited especially compared to headphones in higher price brackets) overall decent for the price highs either have to be eq'd or burned in this will probably be ultra bright if you recable with silver occ wire. Maybe they sound better on a balanced amp.... sort of like a robotic grain to these(its cause of low bitrate source this effect) and thumpy rubbery bass. Wow dj talking between tracks sounds funny(low bitrate again). I dunno maybe needs burn in hope it improves or maybe these are picky about source material have to try flac and dsd hopefully these arent no go for low bitrate internet radio..... Detecting they might be a little too resolving for low bitrate(not as bad as t90s but its there a little bit).
Yeah these are too resolving for low bitrate... mp3,aac,ac3,ogg most compressed lossy formats.... flac or better these get way more clear and smooth dsd even better especially out of BugHead Emperor. Yeah these are like entry level audiophile high source and gear requirements but low potential to soar the more power you put into them kind of putting them in a funny usage window. Too high for everyday listening and low bitrate and internet radio but more limited than other pricier audiophile headphones for flac or dsd pull em out god sessions as you probably already have something better. Most probably got these as a window into what Hifiman sound sig is tho and I guess they do fulfill the prime objective if you had better Hifimans already you probably wouldnt get these unless for a kid or as a gift for someone just getting into or trying to inspire into Hifi.
Whoever delivered my package abused the hell out of it; got to me all smashed up, corner of the actual box inside is dinged and crumpled. Really looked like they kicked this package around tho the headphones inside seem to be fine.

iCeOL8TRAmnesiaHow to cope with the inability to use a decently powerful amp on more than a couple of notches volume? On my other low impedance headphones, I've lowered the volume in foobar and other apps in Windows mixer in order to get the knob a little higher on the amp, tho not sure that's optimal or if the windows lowering volume influences the quality of the sound. I don't have a weak amp to use and don't want to buy another amp..
Haven't received the he-350 yet, however, I'm kinda afraid of the 19ohms they advertise, my lowest hdp are 40ohms and they have the above struggles with my amp.

Armstrong01It says 19 ohms but it amps like higher than 50 ohms I can put them on the top amping of the iDSD and turn it up some so they are not super sensitive.
