Got them today. Packaging is simple and elegant. The cable is the perfect length for desktop use wtih about 1.5m. Connectors are standard 2.5mm and 3.5mm (with 6.3mm adapter), simple and great for replacing or modding. The headband is very short, at least out of the box. To be fair, I wear glasses and have a big, hairy head. xD But where others still have a few headband clicks to go, these are pulled out to the max and the earcups still sit on my ear lobes. Hoping to see some break-in on the headband and ear pads.
I am listening with Deezer HQ streaming and an O2-ODAC. My reference headphones are Sennheiser HD598 BE's, Beyerdynamic DT 770 80 Ohm's, AKG K701's and AKG K7xx Special Edition's. Compared to all of the mentioned the Hifiman HE-350's are pure, neutral detail. K7xx might be better at the low end, HD598 better at mid range, but all lose some detail somewhere. The HE-350's start with clean neutral base, continue with clean neutral mids and finish with clean neutral highs, very high highs. It's the consistency that is special. Some might find this consistant representation of very detailed highs fatiguing and it definitely needs some getting used to, but I love it. There is just more perceivable music at the high end. It is like experiencing a whiter white - it might be blinding at first, but it's also really awesome if you have never seen it (I know colors dont work that way and this probably sounds dumb, idc). Maybe also that's because my ears also work at higher frequencies than average human ears, I don't know.
To conclude, these have something that all of my 200+ USD headphones do not have, neutral consitency and very high highs. And that for half the price. Even if you dont like it, its something different, something new that is worth trying out imho.
I will report back after some break-in...

pmronlineDT770's are strong in the lows and mids, they are really good headphones, but dont have the same consistency towards the high end.
