Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. Brainwavz HM5 pads are also good for the price but you have to be careful not to break your mounting rings when using those since they are not really designed for these larger headphones and require significant stretching and fiddling with to force them to fit. I switched to Ether-C pads and they were easy to get on, fit great, improve bass response, and feel very comfortable.
You can buy a Hybrid OFC cable from HiFiMAN in 2m, 3m, and 4m lengths that works perfect and is longer length than stock cable. Some of the Sennheiser HD700 cables off Amazon *may* work as well for these headphones.
