I've seen quite a few guys here have suggested that if you buy these, you need to mod it... Can someone please elaborate a little on... how do you mod these? change the cushion to leather? (where do you even buy these....)
Thanks in advance.

HungryPandaUm.... "When mounted inside the cups (very easy and quite risk free)" .... Not so sure about that, especially if you know nothing about soldering! LOL

HawaiiRI found it very easy but am used to soldering, then I just applied some hot glue to keep components secure

HungryPandaI'm decent at it, but not sure if the average buyer on here will find it too easy. I just found some humor in that sentence when I read it...LOL. I might try this mod if all else fails. Definitely not loving the sound that it's currently putting out.

HungryPandaThank you for that! Got to say, did not expect that mods will requires multiple resistors. Pro guide! Although I am quite capable of soldering (mostly keyboards)... I don't think my ears can really tell which type of modding I will require.
Any suggestions on what a more mainstream headphone, yet still decent? I like... soft leather pads.

MunnybearIt all depends how much you want to spend really, sennheiser HD598 Special Edition for $142 are much more comfortable and sound great or Fostex T50RP mk3 at $149

MunnybearI totally agree with you. One has to decide (with no measurement of one's headphone) which filter to use. I guess one can make both filters and try them out. These filter are easy enough to be made. The article also confirmed my suspicion that there are different variations of the drivers used in the HE-350

HungryPandaI dunno now... That seems rather complicated. I may just screw up everything. Honestly, even without any mods, they sound amazing. I personally placed 2 ply of perforated tissue paper which I think is enough to lift up the bass. The pads however, a whole other story... They hurt like h$ll. I just ordered a replacement memory foam.

DacerPHave confidence it is easy (unless in my case someone behind me dropped something and my soldering iron nicked my right cup so a sharpie covered up the small melt)

MunnybearGuys i need help. I am mostly gaming and listening to music but i already have a blue snowball microphone so i dont need a gaming headset. I dont know what i should get and if i should get this one. People are mentioning mods but i dont know anything about those too. I can solder fairly good but i dont know if i can find the necessary parts (capacitors resistors etc) here in Turkey. An answer would be appreciated.

MunnybearI feel you are in the same spot as me (hence i am no pro to this either)... I kinda held back from this because 1) it doesn't look all that comfortable (no soft leather pads) and 2) I like to think... why wear a headset if I can just turn up speaker. Would be interesting to hear if there's a general consensus that headsets are more superior...
