They are both very good headphones for the price, The HiFimans are better once modded, the philips are more comfortable

I love my he350s but, the Philips is amazing at that price. Got mine at newegg a few months ago for $50 after a $10 rebate. Soundwise, the hifiman carries more weight and the Philips is more open and airy. Also consider the Superlux 668b, which is on sale at gearbest for $28. It is semi open and has a even more of a high fetish than either 350s or 9500s, but get everything else right. If you can stand the treble and possibly mod them a bit, these compete with and do 85-95% of what the other two do. Simply amazing cans for the amazon price of $35-40 and at $28, everyone who hasn't already should take a listen. I love all three, you can't go wrong...
