what headphones do you have? I have AKG K553 and HE350 sound much better in any "orchestral" song, where many instruments play at once. And faster songs as well. But HE350 is kinda weak when it comes to female vocals. Not only too much trebble, too much low quality trebble.

Never heard any of them, so cannot compare. With HE-350, it is love to hate to love :) For me, they have "uncanny valey" sound - so close to perfect (for its price), but not perfect, which is unpleasant. I should be angry and disappointed, but instead I ordered HE-400i for 400$. Tried them in a store and they are awesome, even for such a high price :)

Replace the pads with Denon or Brainwavz pads.

I have tried focus pads, it increases comfort and adds bass, but sound feels less dynamic and highs stay the same, maybe even worsen, beacuse drivers are twice as close to your ears.

Well after a bit of reading i have bought some brainwavz angled pads and in the meantime i put a layer of paper towell in the earcup (i know it sounds silly but it did help a bit). Ill update this post when i receive them

Toilet paper (not a paper a towel, too thick) between earcup and driver is a must. All my impressions are written with HE-350 modded with paper.

Why do you need to put paper between the ear cup and driver? Pardon me as I am a newbie in this field.

Well putting paper like toilet paper will change the sound of earphones. They will make the treble slightly less ear piercing and the bass slightly more pronounced
