I like these headphones so far. I'm still getting to know them though, so the jury's still our on any opinion relating to sound.
Unlike the 6XX which sound like loud headphones to everyone around you, these sound like you're wearing small speakers on your head. I won't be taking these to work as a result.
The headband feels nice. No complaints there. The adjustment mechanism is linnear though (no steps to click into). I found that it tends to slide around during use and needs to be re-adjusted from time to time. I much prefer the stepped adjustment mechanism of the HD 6XX.

<Cable rant> I'm very unimpressed by the cable supplied with the HE4XX. It's too short for anything but listening to a device in your pocket. They coiled it up in a tiny compartment in the box. I'll try hanging a weight from it to straighten it, but I shouldn't have to do that. The sections of cable going to each can feel terrible. Squeezing the cable, you can feel the wire inside just flapping around inside. I tried to show how much empty space there is inside in the second picture of this post. I'm squeezing the cable gently. </Cable rant>
I'll be tracking down a new cable asap.

Check these out on eBay: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F401363670296 I don't mind the stock cable. It's long enough (just) for my set up and with the right angle connector is not as bad as I thought it would be.

I ended up getting one very similar to that on Amazon. It arrives Tuesday.

Just had a quick look on Amazon. Do you get the Neomucia cables?
