Mine arrived today in Malaysia exactly 2 weeks after ordering. Well packaged and box and contents were in pristine condition. Plugged it into my iPhone 8 Plus and had to crank the volume up to 90% to get a decent volume for my taste. Good, clean and warm sound . Then plugged it into my FiioX3iii DAP coupled with the Q1ii headphone amp. This pairing unleashed a whole new beast especially with the gain and bass boost functions of the Q1ii turned on. The 4XX sounded pristine, clean, warm and yet dynamic enough to excite. All in all I’m very happy with my first ever planar magnetic cans. Will post more experiences once I’ve listened to them longer.
p.s. Mine were a matte Black color as you can see in the attached pics and not blue as per the description. Mine has 2704 serial number.
Congrats man! By the first photo it's midnight blue. :/
Yeah, now that you mentioned it, it looks midnight blue. At first glance I thought it was matte black.
how much total it would be in MYR?..thinking to buy this..or get HD6XX
It was USD185 with shipping to malaysia, so converted it’s just below RM800 which is an unbelievable price for a planar magnetic can of this quality.
If given a choice between the two (and depending on your budget), I'd go for the 6XX. It's just a more neutral and warmer sounding headphone, and the acoustics have been configured in such a way, as to absolutely mitigate the effects of listening fatigue. That said, the 4XX does sound a lot harsher. Paired with a good DAC/Amp, the 6XX will probably be the last and only headphone you'll ever need - it's just that good.
thanks for your opinion..guess i need to save more...need to buy amp if i want to buy 6XX...
Pretty sure all of us Msia would get 6xx if the shipping available.
third party shipping is available like ezipoz by posmalaysia, planetexpress, aramex etc ..but never try it before
