I'm disappointed with mine. They can be driven by any device with a decent output stage, but they need a fair amount of power to impress. There's a discontinuity between bass and treble, with too much of the former and not enough of the latter. (B & T sound okay individually, but don't "connect".) I expected something superior to the best Yamaha planar-magnetics. I'm considering selling them.
Oddly enough, I enjoy the 4XX the most thru my Yamaha receiver. It 'rounds' out their sound more and adds some warmth. When watching movies or playing games, they have a wonderful soundstage and bass impact when it comes to LFE sounds without harming dialogue.
Yes, I am. They're in like-new condition, and I have the original box (of course). Would you consider the current price, and I'd pick up the shipping charges?
Yes, I am. They're in like-new condition, serial #1447 and I have the original box (of course). Would you consider $10 off the current price, and I'd pick up the shipping charges?

Also in the meantime if you can send pictures of the headphones too, that would be appreciated. I'm sure you take good care of them but I'd like to take a look at them.
I'm really busy today. (just won a closely contest eBay auction), and have a lot of errands to run. I'll get some photos to you no later than tomorrow (Sunday).
My neighbor needed some help yesterday, and by the time I was done, the Sun had set. I have several photos to take, and they will be taken in a few hours.
Alright no problem! Just whenever you get around to it then, contact you this Friday about payment and where to send it to. We can just correspond through email at that point!
The 'phones and the cables are packed in their original box. I haven't put them in a outer box, yet. All you have to do is pay me via PayPal, using "pay for services or product", so I don't have to give PayPal a cut. My name is William Sommerwerck. I should be listed. My e-mail is grizzledgeezer@comcast.net.
