Should do better than 20Hz at the bottom. The Senn 650 does 10 Hz to 39.5 kHz. 32' organ pipes sound at 16Hz. No impressed when I did A-B with the 650.
You mean senn650 much better?
Yes. A friend had bought a 650 and I had bought a 400 and also had a Velodyne Vtrue. All were attached via a three-way splitter, with individual volume controls, to a McIntosh pre-amp. We passed the headphones around listening to pipe organ recordings (which we both enjoy). The 650 clearly came out on top, the Velodyne Vtrues came in second, and the 400s third. I returned the 400s, sold the Vtrues, and bought the 650s. The 650s are open back and 300 ohms. Both need to be considered. My Pioneer XDP-30R DAP will power them on the high-gain setting.
Thanks for detailed explanation. Very comforting since Am on the hd6xx drop.
I don't know if I could hear stuff at 10Hz.
