Just received my copy today. Order placed on 26 Dec 2018, arrived only today 15 Jan 2019 (It took 19 days to ship from US to Singapore). It is a hell of an exciting wait. Item was packed nicely with an extra protective box. Inside the box there is only 3 items, headphone, wire and a screw in 4.4" adapter. I have tried it with my Astell&Kern AK320, but it feels somehow under powered despite it's low impedance of 35 ohms. So i go ahead and add on an additional Venture Electronics 2.0 BL portable amp. With proper amp, it sound so much better ( more on the sound later after i run it in). I honestly doubt that a normal set of HP is able to power this monster. But for that price of USD169 (excluding delivery), this is definitely a "BANG FOR EVERY BUCK" deal! This is my 1st step into the Planar Magnetic Headphone arena! The long wait and money spent is fully justified!!!

GaryChowHMhaving owned the 400i yeah, it demands a lot more than you would think at 35 ohms. That's a planar for you, it's driven easy but sounds like trash unless you put proper power to it.2

UzuzuAbsolutely. It may be low impedance but it definitely needs a good amp to fire up to it's highest potential.

GaryChowHMAs I recall I drove it with about the same power as my k712, which is notorious for being amp-picky and hard to drive. Not as amp picky, but damn near as hard to drive. I remember testing it out of my phone..... the detail went away and bass particularly got slow/sloppy.

UzuzuThese 4xx, 7xx and 6xx cans certainly need some extra amp power to bring out their potential. I own all 3 of them, each of them has their own sound signature. I love all of them lolx.
