I want a dedicated pair of headphones to use for gaming only. I've been using my Sennheiser HD 6xx with my pc hooked to a Liquid Spark Headphone Amplifier by Alex Cavalli. I use a software equalizer to try to add what the 6xx seems to be missing but ready to try something new for games trying to decide between this and the Sennheiser 58x Jubilee any opinions from someone that own both?

I own both. The 58X Jubilee is VERY similar to the 6XX. 6XX is a little warmer. I suggest the 4XX for something with different characteristics, but also good sounding and a great value.

For gaming I feel like imaging is the most valuable quality for your headphones. Imaging is not the strongest asset of the HE-4XX, it's kind of a bit 3-blobby. I prefer the Fiio FH5 for gaming; less fatigue over time, and better imaging. Only downside is you can't hear your voice with IEMs.

The best gaming headphone out there is the akg 7xx due to the soundstage, depth, EQ friendly drivers, and easy to mod cable. The mini xlr is annoying but honestly I prefer using a real microphone. Seinheisers are not good for gaming because they don't do positional audio or Atmos/Sonic well. They have good imaging but are narrow compared to most cans.
