It's been a year now after I got this earphones, and let me say that they did improve over time, and improved greatly, in fact they almost matched my RE-400 on some areas (yes the bass!) the instrument separation was still better with RE-400 specially on upper mids frequencies. There is still a but, durability is not the best, the right side stopped working after 7 months or so, sonically speaking in the end they did worth the 35 dollars price and more. An improved cable will solve the durability issues.
