Hmm are the photos of this not a little misleading? Looking at the pictures, the plate is metal yet the photos seem to show the RGB light diffusing through the plate. Am I right in saying there has been a decent amount of enhancement to the photos to make the RGB effect appear more spread out across the plate? Or am I mistaken and this uses an acrylic plate?

The case is aluminum and the light diffuses across it nicely. on the bottom there is a thin acrylic layer, then a metal bottom layer for the underlighting.

Ah okay, thanks for the response. Be good to see some in-situ photos of this to demonstrate, are there prototype photos available?

Yeah I got that. I was just intrigued to see the RGB effect 'in person' rather than in glamour shots.

Yep. The photos are not rendered or photoshopped to give that effect. We made sure to make the LEDs as bright as we could :)
