I just want to confirm one thing... Do all of the switch options actually have the light pipe feature, even the non-custom ones? I'm torn between the Halo Clears and the Copper switches, undecided because I'm unsure if I'd be comfortable with the force required for the Clear. (I was hoping the Bronze switches would be offered, with the interesting new click bar, but what can you do. At least swapping is easy.) It would have been nice if you could order more than one set of switches with a single keyboard, but I supposed that would have potentially complicated matters and perhaps increased cost. On the other hand, if these switches have the light pipe feature and regular Kaihua switches do not, then it would be preferable to get something like the Copper switches with light pipes here, rather than get them without in the future. Or will Massdrop continue to sell the light pipe versions? Or am I missing something? Sorry for all the questions, but it's a tad confusing.
fractlYep, the speed switches will have light pipes built in. That's why we couldn't offer the Bronze this time - the click mechanism and light pipes are incompatible.

YanboWuThanks for the reply. As I mentioned, I'm unsure if I want to go with the Halo Clears or the Copper switches. The general reply to that type of uncertainty is 'get the Clears and give them a try, swap out for another switch and sell the Clears if you're not comfortable with them'. This makes sense, except that, if I were to do this and get the Copper switches in the future, would I be able to get the light pipe versions? If I could order both the Clears and the Copper switches with the KB, I'd do so, to avoid this problem and try both, but that obviously isn't an option.
My point is that the hot-swappability is a great feature, but, if you can only get one set of switches with light pipes, there's not as much incentive to try different options. My hope is that both the custom switches and the light pipe versions of the speed switches will be available for sale separately in the future. Six months is a good long wait for the KB, and plenty of time for the switches to be offered separately. It would be great to be able to get one of my choices with the KB and another sometime in the next few months, so I could try both when the KB finally arrives. I don't know if this can be confirmed or denied at this point, but it I would worry less about making the right choice if I knew whatever switch I didn't chose would be available in the future.

YanboWuBummer. Still would have been nice to have the Bronze option for those who arent interested in the light pipes. Hopefully you'll run the separate drop for those again soon.

YanboWuIt has been stated that we will be able to buy the Halo True and Clear with light pipes later, but what about the rest of the switches with light pipes? Will Massdrop be offering those as well at a later date? I want to buy the halo clear/true but if I can't buy others with a light pipe later it means I have to buy those first and wait on the true/clear which is disappointing.
