Good value
Used them daily for a couple years and now sitting in the closet since I got a larger laptop. Durable but minimal protection. Heavier laptops might benefit from attention while handling

A nice new way to carry
I really like the form factor and what the product propose as a new way to carry your laptop/ipad and essentials around to a coffee shop. But for me my 15 in laptop fit really tight and I didn't like that that much and also I just Wich the dimensions would give a little bit more space and it could have been one side of protective padding and another with a more loose fabric for chargers and everything. But if I had a MacBook or just an ipad pro to carry it would have been perfect. I'm selling mine if anyone is interested...

Good concept, not so great execution.
Barely able to handle any weight. The strap loops are not secure at all. I have managed to find some uses for a very small reader tablet but it has been a massive letdown overall.

Totally Functional.
At first glance, the Massdrop X Intern laptop folio is a cool piece of gear that seems like it'd be a good way to bring modularity laptop carry; somewhere between a simple case carrier and a whole laptop bag. Here's where it falls short. Oh cool, you can carry it inside out - it's a compromise between carry security and accessibility; the laptop containment is only accessible from one side, thus when closed one way, it won't fall out, but the other way, well it'd take awhile to whip your laptop out. "Molle" style modularity - loops on both the inside and outside face, they didn't forget the reversible component, nice. Once you try finidng pouches that aren't first-party, here comes the main gripe: the loops are too far apart. Most pouches won't have straps long enough to bridge both loops for a secure fit. Would have been much better with one more row of loops inbetween the 2 existing ones; there's more than enough space. If these points aren't a bother to you, then this actually to me one of the more physically appealing ones out there, straddling professional and functional, so if you have intentions to get this then just take some time to imagine how you'd be using it.

Pretty slick carrier, wish I bought some of the compatible pockets
I chose not to buy any of the compatible pockets thinking they'd be mostly the same, but I wish I did. Still, a little slick carrier holds stuff well and the reversible sides let you double-pad one side of your laptop.

Great and slick laptop carrier. Perfect central piece if you own any of the pockets
This is a great and slick laptop carrier. Great alternative to the traditional laptop bag. And it may seem like (on its own) it has way less space for extras (aka cords, peripherals, etc.) but if you own any of the intern series pouches and/or pockets, as part of the “macs” utilitarian system, then this folio literally becomes the centre piece which ties the whole system together. With the over 30 molle/macs slots on the front of the folio as well as inside, if you just attach 2 small pouches to the front of the folio, 1 small intern series pocket on the inside, and two more pockets the 2 straps on the back side (if used in the backpack format, as I do), then there is literally so much room for extra stuff that it’s ridiculous! Not to mention, for the ‘OCD Types’ out there, just the of how many separate pockets and pouches there are to choose from when sorting out how you’re going to store your stuff (5 pouches/pockets on mine), so you can easily and happily bring around with you all your pencils/pens, your cables, your Knick knacks, and your other gaming peripherals (mouse, custom keyboard stuff) in their own pouch so they NEVER have to mix. Which is a HUGE perk for someone like me who hated having to open up their classic-style laptop bag after a long trip to find out that all you expensive cords and tech now has pen and pencil marks all over them just for lack of Extra pockets. And if the bag did have enough pockets, it would look and feel so bloated that I wouldn’t want to or be able to lug it around. This folio & in all honesty, this entire intern series system, allows you to have your cake & eat it to. I can easily pack my laptop, and notebook (each in their own inner zipped & felt lined pocket, plus have 6 separate, waterproof, lightweight, yet EXTREMELY durable, pockets all without having any extra bulk and actually looking so future-tech and stylish, while also being so interchangeable and useful, not to mention that amazing thin/super lightweight rip-stop waterproof material, which not only make this bag so light and easy to carry, it also protects my stuff from all the elements without any of the usual anxiety, AND it even has the crazy sealant-like stuff on the zippers where once you’ve zipped up any of the multiples pockets/pouches/spaces, it creates this sealing, extra layer of waterproofing, which just amazes me. ALL IN ALL, this is a great bag, and on its own, even without the extra $10 strap, is great (as it even has its own hidden rip-stop handle at the top) but it gets better and better the more pouches and/or pockets you add onto it and it becomes the best laptop bag, or even backpack, that you’ve ever had. And it looks hella good at the same time. Basically, I use it every time I go out & need my laptop or tech or even just ipad & notebooks. 10/10. Only complaint is I wish there was some little manual, just a sheet even, explaining how the system works and how to add on, how to attach, and how to detach things, cuz not gonna lie, at first it was kinda hard to figure out. But I learned as I went and pretty soon I understood it all. But still would’ve benefitted from a quick manual, and saved me 30-45 min. But other than that, it’s amazing. Definitely recommend, especially for the price! And without the usual buyers regret because not only is it cheap, but the add-on ability, where you can just buy more pouches if you initially didn’t order enough & need more space. Just Awesome!

Pretty good product but could be better
Great for carrying small items and chargers and power bricks for the laptop with a tablet (or Ipad) but the bag doesn't have a fixed structure so when used with the strap it pulls on the corners, and the strap also tends to bite into me when carrying, the edges could have been rounded off for a better carrying experience

I think it is quite a cool looking product, useful for when you just need to take your laptop out. I did buy a strap separately, and another pocket to carry chargers/cables (not arrived yet), but I like it so far.

Looks cool, not actually practical
I got this because it looks absolutely amazing. However, the way the product implemented the straps and the openings made it actually extremely hard to use. If you can always be in a place where you can sit down and open everything up, and just care for the aesthetic, this is for you. Otherwise, in most use cases, I don't recommend.
