Hey everyone, We are super excited to have this community favorite switch on Massdrop. When I first heard about the Holy Pandas from @quakemz, I was definitely intrigued. The barrier to entry was quite high back then. You had to get the original Panda switches from the group buys or hope one of the community shops had stock. Additionally, Halo switches were scarce. When the opportunity came up in March to collaborate and actually make Holy Pandas available without having to purchase additional switches or reassembled components to make them happen, we jumped at the opportunity. It took awhile to get all the pieces into place. What we are doing is highly unconventional since different parts of this small component are actually made by different manufacturers. In the end, we will be using the original Invyr Panda switch housing tooling and, of course, the original Halo stem tooling to make these switches a reality. I’ve been pretty impressed by the tactility of the switch and will be sending samples out to some community members so they can verify that these are indeed the same switches. We’ll also have some force gauge graphs made and we will update here when that’s ready. Thank you everyone for your support and we hope everyone will be pleased with their switches.

Some notes about the estimated fulfillment timeline. It is a long due to a few considerations - 1) Chinese New Year is around the corner and this results in almost a month long manufacturing shutdown. 2) We will be repairing the injection tool to bring back the original switch housing - this does take time we've budgeted more time so this process isn't rushed. 3) This switch is an amalgamation of parts from different manufactures which is rare for production switches. Since this is the first time we are trying anything like this, we have been more conservative in our estimates.

Hey everyone! Glad to see so much excitement, and I'm excited to finally make these happen. We've been working on this behind the scenes since March, and keeping it under wraps for so long has been nerve-wracking. Thanks to Yanbo and the team for working with me on these fantastic switches. If anyone has any questions I'll do my best to answer them!

Mixed up your comment and the one above wanting 70. It will be cheaper to get them now than on r/mm. YOK pandas are back in stock if you want to make your own and aren’t set on the color :) Either way, good luck in your search!

Hey everyone, I received the production samples a little ago, which would be what we consider representative of final product that will be shipped to you. Both 27 and I have given it the go ahead! I am unable to differentiate, feeling wise, between these and home made holy pandas. There is a slight difference in the colour of the bottom housing, it is a lighter, more white colour than the original pandas, however this has no effect on the feeling of the switch and is purely cosmetic.

After reading a bunch of comments about these coming pre-lubed, I opened my 70 HPs and found a pleasant surprise: None of my switches are pre-lubed. My guess is that the decision to pre-lube switches was made mid-production, leading to the current fiasco.

I can't believe they came pre-overlubed. Once I opened my package and checked them out I instantly noticed that there is something wrong with them. MD holy pandas felt worse and less tactile then YOK's, I asked people on discord and people told me they are all prelubed, I opened one up and indeed it had chunks of unknown lube unevenly spread over the slider. What a shame, who even came up with this idea? People who actually need their switches lubed would not ever knowingly buy factory lubed switches, especially when there are unlubed options like YOK and GSUS. Get your stuff together, DROP.

Whoever gave the okay that these switches be pre-lubed need to reconsider or be reconsidered regarding their involvement with this category of Drop. How hard it is to understand that less factors would lead to less issues in the end product, especially with such a nice market?

Arrived to me, from China to Italy with EMS. Gladly, no customs fees/vat applied and afterall the shipping was faster than US->Italy (same to all my italian friends who ordered this) Not disappointed at all, i expected to pay at least 40 euro in custom fees, nothing instead :) I hope that MD will keep shipping in that way to EU

I purchased 330 of these 7th December 2018. They shipped 27th June 2019. And I still haven't received them. They shipped from China, and the tracking does not resolve so I don't actually know where they are. GGRIP.

They use MX style stems. So yes, it would be compatible with SA Laser and GMK Oblivion.

Has anyone else had crazy long shipping time with no updates to tracking? kinda disappointing as kbdfans and other Chinese based shops have stuff to the US in under a week.

I didn't know Pony Express was still a shipping option... I'm especially perplexed as to why it took 4 days to get from Los Angeles to Compton... Departed LA 11th arrived Compton 15th!
