Made in collaboration with JBL, the kings of studio monitoring, the LSR30X is based on the best 5-inch powered reference monitor in its price range: the JBL LSR305. Every pair of these full-size bookshelf speakers is measured and matched to within 1 dB, and the quality of every component is backed by the company’s 70 years of acoustic research and development. Equipped with a magnetically shielded 5-inch low-frequency transducer and a 1-inch soft-dome high-frequency transducer, each speaker also features JBL’s revolutionary Image Control Waveguide and patented Slip Stream bass port design. Completing the package are a handsome piano gloss lacquer finish, rubber isolation feet, a printed frequency graph with your serial number, and a letter from the JBL team.
Technologies for Deep, Detailed Sound
Powered by two 41-watt class D amplifiers, the LSR30X drivers deliver impressive bass, smooth highs, and evenness throughout the frequency response. The Slip Stream bass port’s double-flared shape is precisely engineered for greater low-frequency extension and reduced turbulence, and the Image Control Waveguide takes the sound quality to a whole other level. A technology first developed for JBL’s flagship M2 master reference monitor, the Image Control Waveguide controls the sound emanating from the speaker in the vertical and horizontal planes and ensures the presentation at the listening position is neutral and accurate. The result? A wide stereo panorama with greater depth, ambience, and detail, regardless of room size or acoustics.
Any Room, Any Track, Any Surface
Using the low- and high-frequency trim switches, you can fine-tune the amount of bass and treble to compensate for the room you’re in, the track you’re listening to, or your personal taste. And with the balanced XLR and TRS inputs, you’ll be able to connect your speakers to any signal source and maintain signal quality. Finally, nearly every studio and high-end system uses an isolation solution, and these speakers come with a set of rubber isolation feet.
