Speakers of this finish on a desktop --- you are asking for trouble (no way to keep them 100% shiny) ... and the dust ???? Better off with something like a pair of M-AUDIO B5X's. THIS IS A POOR DROP AND I WOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN IT

farmacystAre you really comparing the speakers off of aesthetics? The 305's blow the B5X's out of the water 10/10 times.

SephHaleyAbsolutely .... wonder what would happen if JBL used a matte finish rather that the glossy finish ?????

farmacystNo wondering necessary, the JBL LSR305 is a matte finish ( or maybe semi gloss). These are JBL LSR30X which are the same speaker but with a piano high gloss finish.
And to those that continually post that they can get these same speakers cheaper elsewhere... you CAN'T get these speakers elsewhere, these are not the typical JBL 305. Know facts before you post. Maybe you don't want to pay extra for gloss finish or freq matching or isolation feet, but that doesn't mean that no one else wants it.
