FOR ANYONE HAVING STATIC NOISE PROBLEMS DUE TO MOTHERBOARD'S POOR CIRCUITRY ISOLATION SIMPLY:
SWITCH THE -10 to +4db sensitivity switch (the volume will be still plenty)
[GET A "DAC-UP - TRUEVOLT - USB POWER" mainboard] (some dacs offer grounding wire inputs for example some mutos) but this might not eliminate the issue completely as some problems originate in the power supplies/AC power outlets or adapter-extensions that lack grounding or don't provide clean noiseless power to your computer
usb isolators generally don't work for DACs because they don't offer enough bandwidth for the dac to work making them useless as you computer won't even detect/see the dac so you can't use the dac with the isolators
Last ditch, get an adapter with no ground. 2 bucks.
Do you have a link for this, on amazon or something? Do you know if that fixes it for sure?
It's a 3 prong to two prong plug adapter that takes the ground out. (That you plug into wall). Might work. $1 or $2.
