Stereo imaging is brilliant, sound quality is above its class, and if you are positioned correctly base is precise and pleasing. When listening to these, i find myself saying "but they are so small, where is this great sound coming from!?"
If you have doubts with what to pair them...i can say this: as long as the sound source is half decent you are good to go. I used them on my phone, pc with and without a DAC, and while there are differences these are subtle. Zeos on youtube can also help you.
The fact that the speakers are matched, is also very important, to ensure proper sound stage.
