Just got mine after almost 7 weeks of waiting. They are worth the wait. I've read somewhere in this discussion thread, and, I'm going to mimic his/her review - The spatial imaging (or whatever the correct term is for it) is amazing. I've played about an hour of jazz tracks via spotify and you can picture in your mind where the Sax, the Keyboard, and the percussion are coming from, or where the singer is. I'm also surprised that my TV connected via 3.5mm-to-TRS LR is satisfactory as a source. I was expecting the setup to be noisy but it's not.
Now I'm itching to get a good receiver or desktop dac-amp to drive these monitors with for a better experience. I'm thinking of saving up money for a Jotunheim and with reasons to tell my commander (the missus) before I drop 500 on that one.

BigBoyLokiGet a Behringer UMC204HD, amazing plug-and-play 192kHz/24-Bit USB audio interface that comes with mic preamp , MiDi_input/output & TRS balanced output (for monitor speakers)! It also can drive my DT880 (250ohm) perfectly fine dial at 12 o'clock. Easily no brainer money spent ever! Damn cheap

mrbinaryAppreciate the suggestion. I know I can google this one but I opted to ask you instead, how is the Audio Interface powered? Purely USB or thru an independent power supply? Could I use this like a stand-alone receiver?

BigBoyLokiPurely USB. No external power adapter required (less messy with cables) Yes can use it as standalone receiver, use the Line In.

BigBoyLokiUnless you planning to also drive headphone (and use balanced cables) the Jotunheim is not needed and you can save a nice bit of cash. You just need a DAC as they JBLs already have their own AMP.
I recently picked up a NuForce uDAC 3 here from massdrop for $60. It has s 3.5mm jack for headphone (IEMs mainly) and Pre-out you can feed to the JBL and control the volume with the volume knob. I tested it and it does a good job with the JBL's.
If your still interested in a DAC/AMP that can run the JBL's and headphone the Audio-GD NFB-11 (I have an older NFB-11 and new R2R 11) is fantastic. I believe the DAC to be superior than the Jotunheim and the single ended 3.5mm jack deliver more power, but the Jotunheim balanced output is considerably more powerful. If you not using balanced headphone/cables it's doesn't matter.
Of course there are cheaper option and DAC only options if the JBL's are all you need to drive.

RojasTKDThanks for the suggestion. Would you direct me to a site where to shop for the NFB-11/12? Googles top results are giving me headaches. (yup, another way to say LAZY)

BigBoyLokiI got mine directly from Audio-GD's site: http://www.audio-gd.com/Products-EN.htm Ordering process is a little different with them. 1. send them email with product you want. Include your name, shipping address and phone number. 2. they send you an invoice with amount and shipping. 3. Send payment via PayPal to the email address they provide. 4. Wait for item to arrive, mine took 6 to 7 days. DHL sent me a text the prior to delivery so I would know when it was coming.
They now have a distributor in the Netherlands that also sells their gear: https://www.magnahifi.com/en/
