Like what the review said about the 95X bass being tighter and deeper than the original 950. The new foam pads might allow bass lovers to increase low end even more. Grado owners often wrap electrical tape around the outside edge of their big bowl foam pads to enhance low end. Done properly, it is barely noticeable visually and easy to undo.
Curious if @CEE_TEE or any of the other developers have tried or measured this on the Koss?

BarondlaI put thicker aftermarket pads on my ESP-950s and did indeed notice a slight bump for the bass. But IMHO, if you're a bass-head this isn't the drop for you. The 950, (haven't heard the 95x) is really strong in the upper midrange detail and highs.

WaydeRAgree that no stat is for bass heads. But some non bass heads feel the ESP 950 could have slightly more low end. Like changing pads, which Massdrop has already done, this might tweak them a little more in the same direction. It is cheap to try and easily reversible.

BarondlaOn the pads I switched to... I actually forget who makes them... But I did an search last spring for replacement earpads + model number... I went through a few sources to find someone who ships to Canada, but it seemed like a reasonable source, they had lots of replacement earpads for various models of headphone. The ones I got are a faux leather with memory foam, significantly thicker than the originals. Although, I do like the feel of the originals, I believe it was lambskin, which is what the bag was made out of. It's too bad the bag isn't included with the drop, it's definitely awesome in its ridiculousness, it looks like a camera bag, so it's kind of fun to travel with it and crack open the bag and assemble the headphones out of them. Anyone seeing the bag would assume I've got some kind of high-end camera.
Considering the 950s originally retailed at $1K, this drop is a steal. Fortunately I didn't pay the G for them. You can find deals online for the 950 all over the place but I think it'd be difficult to find them in this drop's price.

The audio on my pc38x is not working
One day I just plugged in my Pc38x and they stopped working. I tested the mic and it works, I've tried changing the cord multiple times and have adjusted the volume disk, none of this has changed my situation. I've tested the headphones on my PC, switch, and PS5 and the audio doesn't work there either.

Hifiman x Dekoni Cobalt or Massdrop x Meze 99 Noir
Im looking to buy a set of closed back headphones under $200. So far the two main contenders are the Cobalt and Noir. Has anyone compared these two? which seems to be better? Both are around the same price. Ive heard the cobalt is lacking in bass, while thats not ideal im not too worried as I dont often listen to bassy music.

Xduoo Poke II repair
Hi friends, I recently had a mishap with my Xduoo Poke II, that is, it fell out of my hands and now it turns on but the command buttons now work sometimes and sometimes not. I have written several times to Xduoo directly because it was with them that I bought this Dac and to find out what I can do about it but after two months I have not received a response. I live in Mexico City but I would like to know if anyone knows of a technical service in the US that could repair my Poke II and know if it would be worth it for me taking into account the cost of repair and the issue of shipping, or if it is better to think about buying a new portable Dac.
