I am close to purchasing these, but if I'm going to drop 500 bucks I want to do it right. Could anyone help me pick out a DAC that would be good for these? I am currently using Sennheiser PC363D's with their own small DAC/AMP that does Dolby surround sound things but I can't imagine that thing would be optimal for these headphones. Thanks.

mah_treesI'd guess any decent DAC should do. I'm using an ultra simple, cheap but decent Grace SDAC, and they sound beautiful through that. SMSL and Topping in particular also have a nice selection of budget friendly DAC's that I've heard good things about. It depends a bit on what kind of connectivity options you need or might need further on.
The SMSL M100 is cheap, looks really pretty and has a nice selection of connectivity options, and the Topping D10 also has some decent features for its price tag. Dunno how either of them sounds, but I think they were both decently recommended.
