Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

Flexibility, Performance, Looks
Sound: Clear & balanced, the dynamic drivers have a titanium coating that adds rigidity and reduces distortion.
Recognized Modding Platform Mods are amazing. They’re a compliment from the community, saying they love the product and care enough that they want to invest time personalizing the product. Over the years, people have experimented with: -Different foam thickness or adding a gasket for spacing to dial in bass -“Coin-modding” the foam by cutting a $0.25 coin-sized hole into the pads -Removing the grills protecting the driver (be careful not to push on the driver if you try this one) -“Kramer Modding”, named after a community member who removed the grill and drilled (9) holes plus increased (4) more in order to add even more treble extension.
Also, this is what it says on the Porta Pro X page:
> Engineered for durability, the Porta Pro X has a thicker cable with strain relief on the connector and a more robust “Y” split—common points of failure on the Porta Pro.
So, I'm hoping the same attention and care is placed for the KSC75X as well.
Hoping CEETEE can jump in and clarify some things about the cable.
I also have a pair of KSC35, the ear clip version of the Porta Pro (no Ti coating), and I definitely find that the clip/headband influences the experienced sound profile more than the Ti coating does.
Think of the KTX as a fashion investment. The 90s are coming back baby, bank on it.
Seriously though, cough @CEE_TEE, KTX Pro in exclusive modern Massdrop midnight blue and a replacement for that terrible OG cable. . . just sayin :)
It is however a different driver /tuning and quite a rolled off, laid back sound compared to the Porta and Pora Ti coated 60 ohm variants. Not so much a case of 'instead' but 'also' :)
