These and the Porta Pros, though having the same driver, complement each other. I suspect that is due to the clamping force - the PortaPros clamp adequately enough to drive the bass deeper, and these, due to sitting on your ear, allow the mids and upper end to not get overpowered by the bass. These are obviously more comfortable due to the lack of the headband, and much more portable. They lack a carrying pouch sadly, but I had a few lying around so no problems.
