I've used and love the Koss KSC75. They failed after a few years and I thought I'd try the Koss Porta Pro this time. They basically sound the same as the cheaper ($15) phones, but more bass because they are pressed up to your ear. I've been told that the microphone sounds like crap from people I talk to with it.
These are uncomfortable, yes even when set to 'light.' I keep adjusting them to relieve the pressure on my ears, and there's this metal hook that I guess is used to close it when you fold them. That hook can easily stab at the top of your ear; really dumb design there. I might be nit picking, but the wire just loves to get twisted and twirled up. it's one of those wires that just never wants to relax, you know?
The foam pads that press into the side of your head act as sweat sponges. Kind of gross, maybe they should've covered those in leather or something that you can just wipe clean.
