I abused the living hell out of these headphones (the non-massdrop ones) for years and they held up great. I was also always surprised at The quality of sound and comfort of these little guys. I haven’t used the ones with the mic, but these are honestly some of the best headphones you can buy for the money. Although, am I alone I’m thinking that this is the same price you see everywhere?
ProletariatThe mic, an improved cable (though it is thinner than the original after the "Y" split... I haven't had any issues), and a new straight plug with a metal spring strain relief.
OCBobEDIT: I just read below that these have a lifetime warranty. Shame on me for not realizing that!

That thin cable between the Y and the headphone was the cause of failure of two previous (non-Massdrop) pairs of Porta Pros. Within a year or two, the wire gets very brittle for some reason, and is a point of failure. Very irritating. Also, the temple pads are prone to ripping at the base and I have had to re-glue them several times. I don't think I'm particularly rough on my headphones either. That said, still the best sound for the money by FAR.
AMC4x4I haven't warranty replaced a pair in quite a few years, but I I did it a lot in the past. I actually have a distant cousin of the original pair of Porta Pros that I purchased in 1986. Probably replaced those 6 or 7 times. Easier and cheaper when you live in the Milwaukee area.
