View Full Discussion MEE was/is working on a Pinnacle P2. It was supposed to arrive in the Spring, not sure what the current status is on it, or what the specs are. Anyway, this is what MEE had to say about it on twitter - "Our recommendation is if you plan to use an amp, get the P1. If you plan to use with a phone, wait for the P2." https://twitter.com/meeaudio/status/817799227807907840
Personally, although I don't think the P1 requires an amp & sounds fine straight out of an iPod/iPhone/DAP, I do find that it does benefit from it, however this can be said of most IEMs.
It would be nice to have some kind of update on the P2
finally someone on my side of this amp debate. I completely agree. i use them with a 6s. I prefer it without an amp because its more convenient and such a small difference with an amp. Is there a slight boost to maybe some sub-bass? yes. But I don't listen to many "sub-bassy" songs
These look like plastic housings and a cheaper cable, so I'm guessing they're not a replacement to the P1 but just a model for the masses with lower resistance to allow phone use.
Yea I agree if the volume is enough for you on your device don't bother with an amp these should get plenty loud enough on most decent phones and devices there would only be a small gain in dynamics the only real benefit here would be more volume but if there already loud enough buying an amp just to improve the sound might be disappointing one exception to this would be a good dac/amp combo due to the dac
You gotta read the description dude
I think he is referring to the P2 not the the PX
I was replying to the P2 image posted above not the P1.
