how does the P1 sound with death/extreme metal?
or heavy metal in general, would like to know from P1 users or anyone tried them

blazer39Slayer, Sepultura, Testament, Gojira, Parkway Drive, Five finger death punch. All sound excellent. These do metal and rock genres justice. The only advice I can give to metal users is make sure you try a variety of tips to get the best seal in ear and sound from the PX. You can get the bass punch needed for extreme metal with some tip rolling. Guitar authority is among the best I have ever heard on these actually. Highly recomment a dedicated DAP or amp using your phone.

Maybe I am 100% wrong. Fine... please by all means recommend some balanced IEMs that are on the same budget level as the X3iii

robert_dykesYour right most earphones dont have balanced cables with them but it will increase in popularity. More and more DAPs will have balanced capabilities as well.
PX in balanced mode sounds excellent by the way. All sorts of balanced cables can be bought on Aliexpress ebay or even Amazon.
Balanced if you havent heard it proper. Highly recommend a try. For the PX or any earphone with MMCX or .77mm 2 pins connectors .. A simple cable change and a proper Dap or amp and it brings your music to a new level.

robert_dykesThat is the reason fiio also released their budget earbuds f5 and f9. Both has two cables, one balanced. F5 is dynamic driver and f9 is two balanced armatures with one dynamic driver. Pretty nice built quality and accessaries on their price range. Also I will recommend vsonic gr07x, which is about $200 in US and supports balanced output. The sound is clean, clear and comfortable. I bought this three times… one is in use, one is given away to my friend, and one is for backup since they discontinued this model.
