Coating already chipping, that's rather frustrating (note: I've had these for only a day, haven't dropped them at all. I have no idea how and when this happened but I doubt much force was required considering how I've been treating them and the timeframe).
EDIT: for clarity, the chip is on the earpiece on the right just above and to the left of the "M"
This happened to me as well, the only thing mine could have run into is a desk. Kinda disappointing.
I find this interesting because PVD should NEVER chip (basically that is why it is so popular in the watch world).

PVD will chip. You're probably thinking of DLC.
What bothers me is one of the things that sold me on these was the supposed build quality improvements and that this finish was supposed to be super durable. It's not. I also don't think it was applied well which is part of the problem as some spots seem splotchy or jagged instead of smooth
