I love these, but I've been battling with a very small imbalance. I can't quite put my finger on it but I've always felt I was getting more bass from the bud with the 'm' on. I'm not sure though that it is bass but it definitely seems the 'x' bud is lacking the impact given by the 'm' bud. I was just listening and noticed more cymbal on the 'm' bud (left). So I swapped the earpieces - I was expecting to hear this excessive cymbal on the 'x' bud (now left). But what I heard is more cymbal on the 'm' bud just as before, except now it's serving as a right earpiece.
It's not easy to notice this "imbalance" when you're listening - most people might not ever realise it. But I am sure it's there and I don't have any issue with my other earphones.
What do I do?

Have you tried using Comply Foam tips? They offer the best seal, regardless of ear canal size.

Have you got any support from Massdrop? I think that my unit has a same issue and reported this and waiting now.

Yes, they were very helpful and replaced them for me. And the defective pair is still not even with them. I'm fighting with my post office to find out what is going on. Should it not arrive back at Massdrop, I will pay them for the replacement though. Check on the order transaction and select "contact support". I'm so paranoid now that this new pair is doing the same, but with lots of testing I don't think I can't fault this pair - definitely not like the other.
