No optional cable this time? Included cable is just a trash. I threw it away after first try and bought a good one. It should be cheaper sold without the cable or at least to give an option of good cable.
Um, most stock cables aren't fantastic in this price range. If you want a more ergonomic cable, you generally have to pay. I found the cable sturdy, but stiff and unpleasant feeling. Sound-wise, it's fine. Plenty of upgrade and sidegrade products out there. Why should Massdrop do everything for you specifically when most people buying in this price range aren't going for aftermarket cables that cost half as much or more as the IEM?
I do not see much point in including trash (soundwise) cable together with a good product. Include a good cable and increase the price or remove trash and reduce price, or at least remove trash. You definitely have problem with your hearing if trash sounds fine to you, please go check your hearing and than may be you would be able to give sound advice to other people.
The cable doesn't sound trash, and my hearing is almost guaranteed to be as good or better than yours. I tested myself at Audiocheck.net and have frequency response between 12Hz and 22kHz with a dip around 18Hz. You know what's trash? Attacking people's hearing that you don't know. Stop being what is wrong with the internet. If I attack you, you can find out who I am. You hide behind an unlinked anonymous icon.
I have no issues with this cable, and it's better you have the choice to buy a better cable that you yourself prefer.
I am glad you did not, however my son in law had the same problem as I did and needed to order a different cable. My problem is also that I hate waste, to buy something just to throw it away is almost unbearable.
