Missed out on the Massdrop CTRL mechanical keyboard? Looking for a unique keyboard to showcase MiTo’s XDA Canvas custom keycap set? The Massdrop x MiTo Canvas CTRL Mechanical Keyboard covers all the bases. This version is just like the original, only now it’s made with a powder-coated, off-white aluminum case and comes with the Dieter Rams–inspired XDA Canvas keycaps. The keyboard itself has a built-in switch plate for stability, plus Kaihua switch sockets that allow you to change switches whenever you want. It’s also fully programmable via QMK, meaning you can assign macros or custom keybinds to every key if you like. The backlighting comes in an array of programmable modes with millions of colors to choose from—not to mention there are dual USB-C connectors for speed and efficiency.
Note: The base price for the keyboard (which includes the case, PCB, and XDA Canvas keycaps) will be $234.99 with additional price drops listed below for the XDA Canvas Keycap Kit. If you don't want XDA Canvas keycaps, the Barebones version will be $179.99. You can also add a set of 90 switches. Pricing will vary for each. See checkout options for more details.
Please note that we will be collecting payment at the end of the June to begin production on the powder-coated cases
When you join a drop before it goes into production, you’ll get some exciting perks:
The switches on the Canvas CTRL feature light pipes that are optimized to deliver the most light possible. No matter what tone you want, it’s got you covered: You’ll have your choice from millions of different colors for every single key. Feel free to program the lighting to cycle through the entire spectrum, or set it to a two-toned look to match your setup. There’s also a built-in LED diffuser with light-blocking material to eliminate hotspots found in many other keyboards. Don’t worry about flickering, either: The backlighting displays at a super-high frame rate, so it’s clear as day even at night.
Customizing your keyboard is a lot of fun. That’s why the Canvas CTRL features a fully programmable layout, designed for modification. Using QMK firmware, you have total control over every key. Plus, the configurator allows you to program macros and customized keymapping so you can easily fine-tune your keyboard for gaming, work, or play. It’s also outfitted with two USB type-C connectors (one on each side), allowing you to transfer data and charge devices at USB 2.0 speeds.
Known for its toughness and ability to hold a quality surface finish, aluminum plays the starring role in the CTRL’s frame. Heavy enough to stay put when you're cranking out an email or locked into an intense FPS match, the frame also has a low profile to complement your desktop. Thanks to the built-in switch plate and hot-swappable PCB, the Canvas CTRL gives you the freedom to change out your switches whenever you like. Best of all? You don’t need to solder each switch. Just pop them in and they’re ready to go.
