Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. The Keyboard layouts doc he recommends explains layout goals and metrics in detail, summarizing the alt layouts discussed here as well as more than one hundred others. Have you seen the new blog I put together?
https://mitormk.wordpress.com
I didn't want to post a nitpicky comment, but also noticed you had a couple of "it's" (it is) that should be "its" (properties of it). "...it's concepts..." "...it's ever lasting polymer characteristics..."
Now I just have to figure out if I should do an Ergodox build, get a 104-key Varmilo, or what. Heck, maybe you can talk pcgamingrace.com into creating a version of their modular switch keyboard that includes your keys with appropriately colored case and lights. I bet that drop would be massive.
Many have tried to teach me but I always forget the rules, I'll be correcting those right now, thanks a lot!
You can not put this new key-set on a pedestrian keyboard here, so start looking for something strange and weird that will inspire your loved ones to gaze at in wonder.
My mnemonic device for its (the possessive form, which takes no apostrophe, even though MOST possessives do!) is that no possessive pronouns take apostrophes (mine, your/yours, his, hers, their, its). Wishing you much success on this drop. And taking your recommendations for ideal boards to put it on. ;D
I want this set as well as the NKPC rainbow. What am I even going to do with so many keyboards??
