Test on another computer, laptop, etc. There could be an issue with your computer/motherboard; that level of static (caused by you touching a peripheral) should not cause that result. Does your friends computer present the same issue? Is it just your keyboard? mouse? headphones? controller/gamepad?
My roomate had similar usb issues on a very old computer. Electronics break down over time. Hard to isolate the cause sometimes. Good luck.
