Missed out on MiTo’s electric Pulse custom keycap set? Looking for a handsome, heavyweight keyboard with all the bells and whistles you could ever need? Read More
Howdy community!
We are finally debuting the Pulse High Pro CTRL keyboard that we have been working on for the past couple of months! In order to answer some questions that I believe people will ask, please refer to the info below:

FAQ:
1) The BOX switches available in this drop are the new ones, which mean they won’t destroy or stretch keycap stems;
2) The 4 special 1u keycaps that will be included as the 1st round perks are a pair of R1 and a pair of R2, so they are compatible with all Pulse SA keyset options available in this drop.
I’d like to thank you all for the support and excitement that have surrounded the latest projects. Delivering manufactured goods is a challenging endeavor, impossible to achieve without the engagement and participation of our community, so thank you very much for supporting these ideas, projects and for checking this out! I hope the keyboard and keycaps exceed all of your expectations and if you have questions that have gone unaddressed, please drop me a line.
Godspeed! 🚀💫
How exactly was MiTo's first response insulting? I checked the tone and content and didn't find anything unreasonable; perhaps you can point out what bothered you. The closest thing to an insult I saw was when he said, "unless you don’t understand what a pre order for a custom project even is." But even in that instance, MiTo was giving you the benefit of the doubt, Billy -- after you suggested MiTo was creating long preorder times in order to benefit from "free loans." That could have been a joke or an insult, but it definitely opened the door for insults. As for the fellow who called MiTo "pretentious and egotistical," what was MiTo pretending to be other than an obsessive who cares about and creates great keycaps?
I'm often on the fence about Massdrop's prices, but that just means I decide they're not affordable for me or choose to wait for a more perfected version of whatever I'm buying.
This keyboard looks like the right run of a limited but refined product to me, yet I'm still debating whether to get it. In the end, that's my choice, though, and doesn't reflect on MD or MT.
MiToI think at this point it's best to let this particular comment chain drop.
It is not obvious to everyone that this niche market/hobby also has a rabid collector appetite. With most designer keycaps only presented once, if more, in any certain profile, they can then be considered art. As a designer yourself, you must consider what you create as a whole? The entire surface of the keybords typing surface is your canvas. And now a board as well 👍
Anyway, that's my half a cent, just think it's best of this doesn't escalate. 👍
Just got mine! Solid and worth the year+ wait. Feels like the Mercedes of keyboards. The finish is gorgeous. Now I mod this baby.

now with Halo True, waiting for insulating foam tomorrow!

with insulation installed, about 5db on average quieter. No clangs.
More solid thumps, less of that hollow sound.

Added this simple spring to eliminate the slight stickiness of the space bar
Looks fine and all, but after being in this community for a good while and knowing how individual keyboard components have been priced for quality/quantity over time, I can't find a single justification for this being priced so high. Also, the year long production time seems pretty unjustifiable as well considering the considerably low amount of keyboards that have even been ordered (probably a result from the ridiculous pricing.) I'm sure the quality will be good and the ones that do find this keyboard on their desks will be happy with it, but I'm sure there's plenty reason as to why those people will be in small number.
AndreiSTo be entirely honest, if you don't have any experience with other higher-end mechanical keyboards and/or you have to ask this, it's probably not for you.
Moonsand1Thank you very much for the kind words and also the support, but I think of what you said the other way around. If I disappeared I am sure the hobby would remain the same because there are various members from this community who are incredibly clever and way more creative and professional than me, I am sure that great creations would remain getting pushed through.
However, think of me without the community and your support - surely I wouldn't be able to develop any projects whatsoever. Thanks to the community criticism and support, nowadays I am able to develop projects and new ideas, so thank you very much for that. I owe the community everything and nobody owes me anything, not even support.
Moonsand1I've never complained about any of MiTo's work because it's been 100% superb.
That is why I'm here, mostly to buy any of MiTo's work which MassDrop was wise enough to use. Can't imagine much of any purchases being made here without MiTo's artistic talents being applied.
His keyboards alone are worth buying because there won't be any other designs that could even come close to his unique pieces. Here as always you get the whole package, keys, switches and a solid heavy casing - perfection.
We expect a lot of demand for the 49 units of CTRL High-Profile PULSE edition when it goes live at 4PM PST. I'm posting this option/price/qty list ahead of time so people can ideally pick what they want ahead of time and then check out as close to 4PM as possible.
