These look great, however I'm curious about the description of the model and the size he's wearing. It says he's 6'3" with a 32" waist and is wearing a size 33 (which is a 35" waist and represents more than a 1-3% shrink if they're to fit right). So my question would be does the pair he's wearing represent an already "shrinked" pair? Speaking from experience a 35" waist on a dude with a 32" waist is not what I call fitting. For myself, I'm 6'4" with a 33" waist and 35" inseam so I'm just trying to calculate a good size to size up from. Thanks.
IzeTheRubeI have a pair of Weird Guys in size 33, and my actual waist size is ~34". They're a tad tight after a couple of hand washes, but still wearable.
IzeTheRubeNo shrinking.
To expand, the denim is already sanforized so it's unlikely the wearer/model put the jeans through any additional wash processes.
coleamHmmm, yeah, just because a 33" waist is hard to find I usually go with 34x34 in mainstream sizing. I just hate loose fitting jeans so I hope I get it right with these. Would rather wear a belt for style rather than completely, functionally, necessary.
IzeTheRubeMost people take their waist measurement at the "natural waist", which is mid way between the rib cage and pelvis. Most jeans, including N&F weird guys, will sit a lot lower than that, between the pelvis and hips, and typically the cross-sectional circumference of the body is larger there than at the natural waist.
I have a couple of pairs of weird guys in size 32 -- which is actually my natural waist measurement -- but the circumference of the waist band is between 34 and 35, and this is correct for where they sit on my hips. But for someone with a different height or other body shape, the relationship between natural waist and tag size may be different. The safest thing to do is to measure a pair of pants that fit and compare to the posted measurements.
