Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

The Massdrop was great. The product was delivered early and well packaged. I had no scratches on the unit and all accessories were included and worked. I also picked up the lightning cable and that worked well with my iPhone X, but didn't sound nearly as good as with the KANN.
I'm looking for recommendations for replacement cables and ear tips. The ones included slip out of my ear except for the large foam ones.
I can recommend the Linum G2 SuperBax cable.

I'm going to have to buy a 2-pin SuperBax for them though!
For ear tips, I've personally taken a liking to JVC's Spiral Dots (M Size). Spinfits (CP100) have the most secure fit for my ear but seem to lose some of the clarity in the highs compared to Spiral Dots. With foams, a popular choice would be Comply's (not sure what size though).
Also, the Linum balanced cable only comes in the Bax cable, and NOT the SuperBax, last time I checked. I do love both the SuperBax and Bax MMCX Cables I own, so either one sounds better than 99% of the stock cables out there. I realize that the SuperBax is around double the money of the Music and Bax cables, but it's Absolutely jaw dropping in it's appearance, quality, softness and sound reproduction. The Bax is no slouch either and is a definite upgrade to my old Nuforce Primo 8, Westone UM Pro 30, and even the stock CA MMCX cable that came with my Andromedas and Dorado's. That reminds me, I need to try the Bax with my new Dorado's. Since getting those I have been strictly using my stock CA ALO SPC Litz MMCX Cable, the Linum G2 Bax cable and my Bluetooth Westone APT-X and Sony MUC-M2BT1 LDAC Bluetooth cables with my Andromedas. And just been using the SuperBax with my Dorado's because of it's extremely low resistance of (.7 ohms) and gives them more resolution and clarity than the stock CA cable with the Dorado's.
That said, if you're looking for a right angle 2.5mm/3.5mm/4.4mm balanced cable, Moon Audio is a nice cable manufacturer too, along with the other recommend cables above! When I get a balanced 2.5mm cable here soon, it's probably going to be a Moon Audio or ALO MMCX Cable!
I've talked to someone from Linum numerous times about making a G2 2.5mm SuperBax or Bax balanced cable with a right angle connector, and Heidi from Linum told me that they don't trust the right angle connector with such a small diameter of the cabling itself. Which confuses me because the Music G2 cables are even thinner diameter than their balanced Straight connector???
I also wish that they'd make an LDAC Bluetooth cable too, but at least I can dream of one for now LoL 😁
