Hi guys, I have a very general question:
Aren't they huge? On the photo they look very large compared to many (846, Vega etc...)
What's your opinion/experience?

StriveForBestYou have to take into consideration that k10 has 10 armature drivers each side.

fijisticI understand that 10 drivers take space. But more doesn't mean better really. The question is just whether the IEMs feel huge or not.

StriveForBestWell I did not mention anything about having more armature drivers=better sound. I guess it all depends on what you consider as being "huge." Some say it fits great on the ears, some say it goes out of position. Perhaps how their ears are shaped?

StriveForBestThey seem only a few millimeters deeper than the Noble X.
The Noble X are not huge. They're very comfortable. I can't imagine a few millimeters extra will change this for me. However, I cannot speak for the weight of the K10s, so this could change the dynamic.

StriveForBestI had once similarly sized Astell&Kern Angie (with 8 drivers). As compared to, for example, Westone W60, W80 and SE846 - K10/Angie ARE HUGE. You would have to have pretty big ears to conceal them completely. There are just 2 "side effects" of it: - you can't rest side of your head on a pillow (you can't sleep with them in practice) - you can't wear them under any helmet (would it make sense anyway?)
Yet still - K10/Angie/similarly sized - are much smaller that the smallest headphones. They all are extremely portable and in fact - more comfortable than many headphones (weight, head band).
That's why I'm not gonna sell my SE846 - their ratio of quality of sound and size is hard to beat. So small so good. Cheers!

StriveForBestI had the original acrylic black k10u, which was stolen :'(, and i thought they were larger than most iem but not to the point that they sacrifice comfort.. on the contrary, they were mory comfy that some other smaller iems i had. I never tried the aluminum version but i jumped on this massdrop hoping the sound and fit will be very close the the original acrylic

M_mukhtarHi, can I ask if you noticed any differences in sound between the original acrylic K10 and this aluminium version?
